Brie, Apple & Arugula Croissantwich

Who says gourmet has to be complicated? Brie, crisp apple, and peppery arugula are layered with fig jam and finished with a touch of honey—all nestled in a buttery croissant.

Serve alongside apple slices, juicy strawberries, and a little honey-topped brie for a sweet, savory, and secretly simple treat. Perfect for brunch, lunch, or a “look at me adulting” moment.

Brie, apple, and arugula croissant sandwiches on a wooden board with apple slices, strawberries, and honey-topped brie

Simple assembly · Amounts to taste

Let’s make it fancy.

Ingredients

  • Buttery croissants
  • Brie
  • Apple, thinly sliced
  • Fresh arugula
  • Fig jam
  • Honey, for drizzling

To serve, optional

  • Extra apple slices
  • Fresh strawberries
  • Extra brie topped with honey

Use one croissant per sandwich and layer the fillings to taste.

Directions

  1. Prep. Split each croissant horizontally. Thinly slice the apple and cut the brie into slices that will fit inside.
  2. Layer. Spread fig jam on the cut side of the croissant. Add brie, apple slices, and a handful of arugula.
  3. Finish. Add a light drizzle of honey and set the croissant top in place.
  4. Plate. Serve with crisp apple slices, strawberries, and a small portion of brie topped with honey.

Make it fancy

Arrange the sandwiches on a wooden serving board. Fan the apple slices, tuck the strawberries alongside, and finish the extra brie with a glossy drizzle of honey.

Minimal fuss. Maximum flavor. That is how we fake it fancy.
